I wrote this song on a particularly cold motorcycle ride back home from St. Cloud. It was the only thing I could to keep my mind off of how freezing it was! I got home and immediately played it and wrote it down on paper.

I knew Bob before he was 'Slim'. Then lost touch. Always followed him musically from Buzz Barker and the Atomic Bums to his solo work. I was never much into listening to live music at First Ave or bars so I didn't really get to watch him play and sing. I did see him open for Roseanne Cash once. Take care Bob! clayb

Halloween, Alaska will always hold a special place in my ears and in my heart, as they morph the band and their sound through every performance, it's great to listen back to this superb cut from 2014. This whole record shows the broad, broad width of music that is showcased nightly at Icehouse. Highly recommended (while you wait to go to a show inside or in their courtyard, which I even MORE HIGHLY RECOMMEND.) If you need help with the sipping menu too, I am well-versed.
